Upon hearing Phil Ade' for the first time it became instantly visible that the young talent from Maryland had a unique throwback sound that us at SPEAKEASY enjoyed. Out of mutual respect we were given the opportunity alongside SLAMXHYPE, COMMONWEALTH Washington, DC and FAMILY AFFAIR Denver, CO to present his freshman release “Starting on JV” on 368 Music Group. The First leak off of the project “Going Off” is an ode to classic hip-hop as the sample record is by Afrika Bambaataa. “Starting on JV” will be released July 10th for free via www.368musicgroup.com with a release party at Commonwealth Washington, DC on that same date.
