We like to party....

Speakeasy has partnered with FM Magazine and Automatica Media for an amazingly-fantastical night of fresh art and music.

In honor of Clay Kessak’s graduation from art school, we will be hosting an exclusive showing of his photography as well as dropping some of Clay’s gnarly photos on shirts and skateboard decks and will be selling both at the opening.

After the show, we are throwing a party at the FM Office with DJ Vin Sol from San Francisco. El Brian and Tonyo have a double-set lined up that will blow your mind.

After a one day streaming preview in November 2008 on the media site Imeem the buzz for DJ Benzi and Plain Pat's mixtape "Sky High" sky rocketed. With a record number of first day listens (350,000), the anticipation soon built for the final project to leak. After a few last minute changes--including guest appearances from fellow G.O.O.D. Music signees Kid Cudi & Big Sean--"Sky High" is now ready for the downloading masses. Media outlets are already swooning, with Current TV calling it the mixtape of the year! Flying Coffin 2 year anniversary decks.

Seattle-based brand Flying Coffin has just released a limited series of 5 skateboards with a graphic collage that spans the first 2 years of their existence. The decks were printed on Bareback wood (the best in the industry) and are sized from left to right 7.75, 7.87, 8, 8, 8.125. Only 50 sets (250 boards total) were produced and are on the way to stockists worldwide. Some will sell them as sets and some will sell them as singles.

"Doing this on skateboards was particularly significant for me, without the experiences and life lessons I took from skateboarding Flying Coffin would not exist."
-Jason
These decks are now available at Speakeasy.

In Color Premiere

On Monday December 29th The Denver Shop premiered their new video "In Color" at the Mayan Theatre. Since The Mayan is only half a block away we offered our storefront as a gathering place for the homies to start the night out. Well that quickly turned into "almost a bad idea".....
We survived and at 9pm sharp proceeded to give everyone the boot and trek over to the theatre where a larger crowd had already amassed. I poached most of these photos off Skiegens blog because my photos turned out pretty blurry due to Crown Royal. So big ups Mike!Monico was just slightly excited and also had one of the best parts.Tony, A Fresh Prince of Aurora sighting and its always great to see Mr. Steve Irons.Greg and Joey held it down haaard.Whitney skating to Dipset was pretty legit.Brothers circa '98Noel even came all the way back from Seattle to wave at me.

This was easily the best video to come out of Colorado this year. Props to Tony, Whitney and all the Denver Shop crew for making it happen. Copies are available at The Denver Shop and we are supposed to have some on the way here too......also Tony you should bring me one of these shirts
